Much has changed since the Credit Union was founded 65 years ago. We first began as American Baptist Ministers Credit Union in 1957. Thirteen years later, the Credit Union became American Baptist Credit Union to serve beyond American Baptist pastors. Then in 2001, with a broader vision of serving the larger Christian community, American Baptist Credit Union name and updated our logo to Christian Community Credit Union.
Now 20 years later, we knew it was time to take a deep and intentional approach to evaluate who we are and what we need to be to best serve our members. Through much prayer and discernment, we set out to better understand what our members are seeking from our Credit Union to illuminate the core purpose that drives everything we do. After numerous interviews, here’s what we learned: you are looking for financial solutions that help you thrive and generosity is in our DNA. Out of that has sprung a renewed purpose and new look. As a result, we are excited to unveil our new logo and purpose!
Our New Logo: Rooted in our purpose, the logo is both a cross and a tree conveying life, abundance, and fruitfulness. The cross at the center embodies our Christian faith, while the leaves symbolize our connection to members.
Our New Purpose: Serving Christ Followers to Live and Give More Abundantly
Our New Vision: To build a community of Christ followers who transform our world through their lives and generosity.
While our transformation is now in motion, it will not be immediate. Instead, we invite you to journey with us in this season as we change for the better.
