There’s no doubt that each of our Board, Supervisory Committee, and executive team Union sensed a calling to be part of what the Lord wants to do through the Credit Union. Uniquely gifted in business, ministry, finance, and other industries, the heart of our leadership team is to help churches, ministries, and families thrive financially so they can live and give more abundantly.

Mark Bargaehr Image

Mark Bargaehr

Mark is an ordained minister with dual Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Divinity. He grew up in southern California and answered God’s call into ministry leadership. His passion is preparing churches and people to discover and follow God’s mission. His life verse is Romans 12:1-2.

Mark serves as the Church Health Lead for Transformation Ministries helping coach, resource and encourage churches towards greater Kingdom effectiveness, health and spiritual vitality (tmchurches.org).

He and his wife Vikki live in San Clemente, CA and are blessed with their family of four children and three grandchildren. Mark enjoys surfing and worshipping God in His incredible world outdoors.

Rick Bee Image

Rick Bee

Rick Bee has served the Credit Union in various roles including the Supervisory Committee, Board, and now as Secretary of the Board and member of the Executive Council.  Rick’s background is in education, administration and leadership, having served for more than 40 years at Biola University in University Advancement. 

Rick has also taught at the seminary level, including the popular “Faith and Money” course he led on finance and budgeting, debt reduction, stewardship, and biblical financial principles.

Rick and his wife Julie have two grown daughters, two wonderful sons-in-law, and six perfect grandchildren!  They split their time between Yorba Linda, California and Prescott, Arizona.  They love international travel, off-roading in their Jeep, and exploring the country in their RV! Rick’s favorite passage is Romans 12:1-2 where we are called to “Present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.  And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Jeff Salladin

Jeff Salladin serves as Managing Director at Revere Capital, a Dallas-based hedge fund. He has enjoyed a broad investment career that includes private equity, investment banking, and wealth management. He graduated from Rutgers Law School and Azusa Pacific University where he earned Academic All-American football honors.

Beyond work, Jeff serves as an elder at Citizens Church and on the board of Coram Deo Academy – both in the Dallas area – and enjoys camping with his wife and three kids. His favorite verse is Revelation 21:3a:  “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.”

Dorothy Kim

Dorothy Kim has extensive professional and executive leadership accomplishments in business and philanthropy.  A retired executive of Starbucks Coffee Company, Dorothy was the Executive Vice President of Global Strategy where she led strategic plan development and drove differentiation of the Starbucks experience.

Dorothy also serves on the board of Immanuel Children’s Foundation, an orphanage in Guatemala.  She has served on the boards of CRISTA Ministries, a non-profit organization serving people worldwide, Starbucks Korea,  MicroGREEN Polymers, EzGrill, and African Wildlife Foundation.

Dorothy is married to Keith and has one daughter. She serves as an elder at Seattle Community Church and has a heart for Outreach and Missions Ministry.  On her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Her favorite Scripture passage is Philippians 4:4-7. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Dale Torry

Dale currently serves as CCCU’s Board chair. Previously, he served on the Supervisory Committee for over eight years. Dale has extensive executive experience in the senior living industry.

Dale served as COO at Dominion Senior Living. Other senior living communities he served in include over six years at Peer Services Inc. as Managing Director; CEO of Enviva in the Greater Seattle Area; Vice-President of Senior Living for CRISTA Ministries, WA; and over 10 years at Atherton Baptist Homes in Alhambra, CA where he was the Executive Director.

Dale has a J.D., Law degree from the University of La Verne. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University.

Derrick Kelsey

Derrick Kelsey is the Managing Director of the Rockies Seed Fund, an early stage venture capital investment fund. He also is the Executive Pastor of Embassy Christian Bible Church in Denver, CO, where he is one of the founding pastors and has spent the past two decades as an IT consultant serving in functional and technical roles for domestic and global software deployments.

Derrick serves on several non profit boards in his local community and provides executive coaching to emerging, C-suite leaders. He is a mentor for the Latino Business Action Network Scaling Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and was honored by Denver Seminary with the Excellence in Mentoring Award for the consistently noteworthy impact he has on mentees in their Training and Mentoring program.

 Derrick is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a vocal supporter of the football team of his alma mater, the University Of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. After completing a Master’s in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, his wife Zaneta and two sons moved to Denver where they have pursued an ongoing mission of seeking the well-being of the city.

Russell Brown Image

Russell Brown

Russell joined the Supervisory Committee in 2021.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and is currently a Principal with Whitley Penn LLP, a public accounting firm in Dallas, Texas.  Previously, Russell was a Partner at Deloitte and retired from the firm in 2019.  He enjoys working with his clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

Russell enjoys serving his church and has volunteered for several organizations, including a ministry serving vulnerable children in Africa and an organization developing character and leadership skills in young men.

Russell and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children and their grandchildren.  He enjoys the outdoors and taking advantage of opportunities to photograph the beauty of God’s creation.

Russell’s favorite verse is Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that not one can boast.”

Nancy Hornberger

Nancy Hornberger has spent the last three decades at the forefront of information technology transformation within the healthcare and financial services industries. Her strategic leadership at Workiva, Inc. ensures stakeholders across the financial services ecosystem realize the full potential of integrity and accuracy and transparency in regulatory and enterprise reporting.

A seasoned technology sales executive, Nancy is a powerhouse of healthcare and financial services industry knowledge. Under Nancy’s leadership at Workiva, sales have grown over 30% year over year and maintained a revenue retention rate greater than 98%.

Before joining Workiva, Nancy was Executive Vice President of Healthcare at ElectrifAi where she led a client-focused sales team, spearheaded strategic partnerships and provided critical insights that shaped ElectrifAi’s healthcare product development. For the majority of Nancy’s career she spent more than two decades leading healthcare sales and strategic partnerships at IBM. At every stage in her tenure, she was directly engaged in the transformation of healthcare through technology. As a Watson Strategic Partnership Executive, Nancy led a team of 10 specialized experts working to scale IBM Watson adoption through independent software vendors. Under her leadership, the With Watson team attained $50 million in annual revenue—partnerships that delivered market value growth for both IBM and its clients.

Before joining IBM Watson, Nancy spent more than a decade as Client Executive on the Anthem account. While serving as the client’s advocate, she guided the IBM Software, Cloud, Hardware, and Managed Services sales cycle and oversaw a multidisciplinary team using advanced technology to solve Anthem’s critical challenges. During her time of leadership on the account, Nancy drove $200M+ growth in Software revenue, and $2B+ agreement for Managed Services. Nancy led her team to numerous awards, including the Gerstner Award, the highest global sales honor at IBM. She was also named to the Hundred Percent Club six times—a testament to her client focus and healthcare expertise.

Nancy is a respected voice in healthcare and finance transformation, technology sales and strategic partnerships, and sought after speaker and panelist at women in technology forums and healthcare conferences. She holds a B.S. in Mathematical Science from Biola University and is dedicated to continuous education in the areas of leadership, data science and sales. A lifelong member of the National Charity League, she has served as both president and board member for its Pasadena Area Chapter. Today Nancy is a board member for the Tournament of Roses Foundation.

Kevin Perkins

Kevin Perkins serves as Managing Partner at Vanacour Perkins PLLC, a Texas based law firm and Managing Director at Phoenix Advisors, Ltd, an Abu Dhabi based litigation finance company. Kevin has practiced law for over a decade as a trial attorney in complex commercial litigation and is now actively involved in developing an alternative investment model in litigation finance.  

Kevin graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Forestry and graduated law school from Ole Miss School of Law.

He serves as a home group leader at Citizens Church and has been active on numerous non-profit and ministry boards. Kevin is married to “the first girl he met in Texas” and they have two beautiful girls. One of Kevin’s favorite verse is James 1:22: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Blair Korschun - Chief Executive Officer

Blair Korschun

Chief Executive Officer

Blair Korschun joined Christian Community Credit Union as Chief Executive Officer in March 2020. Korschun’s career spans many executive financial services roles including being CEO of an auto lending Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) called CU Direct Connect.

He also was the VP of Default Strategy and Direct Auto for JP Morgan Chase and as Group Manager for Capital One Financial over Young Adult Card Strategy. He holds a BS from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Blair is actively involved at his local church serving as an usher.  He’s been married for over 32 years with three children counting his new son-in-law. He enjoys travel and great food with his family and loves Jerimiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you a hope and a future”.  Knowing that our God cares personally for each of us and wants good for us is awesome!

Marji Hughes - Executive Vice-President / Chief Operating Officer Image

Marji Hughes

Chief Operating Officer

Marji Hughes was promoted to Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer in May 2020. She began her career at Christian Community Credit Union (formerly American Baptist Credit Union) in 1992 as the Branch Manager. In 1999, she was promoted to Vice President of Information Technology and then later as Vice President, Chief Information Officer.

In 2008, she was named Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. In 2019, while the Credit Union was in the midst of looking for a CEO, Marji stepped in to serve as the Interim CEO. Her long tenure and vast experience in the financial services industry is a tremendous asset to the Credit Union.

Marji has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and an MBA from Azusa Pacific University.

Outside of work, Marji enjoys spending time with her family and friends, caring for her dogs, and serving as a volunteer for her local church. Marji is inspired by Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Senior VP / Chief Marketing Officer

Aaron Caid joined Christian Community Credit Union as Chief Marketing Officer in November 2020.  Having worked at various financial services companies, Aaron wanted to pursue a leadership role in a mission-driven organization.

Learning about the CMO opportunity at the Credit Union, he felt called to the role, seeing a great alignment between his faith and his financial services marketing experience.

Aaron brings to the Credit Union over 20 years of experience in leading digital transformation, building innovative marketing capabilities, raising brand loyalty, and improving customer retention.

He has served at a senior management level for organizations including Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, H&R Block, Sears Holdings Corp, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Aaron holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German from the University of Texas at Austin.

Senior VP / Ministry Lending

Mike Poirier joined Christian Community Credit Union as Senior Vice President of Ministry Lending in January 2021. Poirier has an extensive background in commercial lending including nearly seven years at Patelco Credit Union serving as VP of Consumer and Commercial Loans.

While at Patelco, Poirier revamped the Commercial Loan Department and built a scalable, digital consumer loan model. He also worked over six years at Evangelical Christian Credit Union’s Ministry Sales and Special Assets divisions, where he helped ministries resolve their financial problems during the Great Recession. He’s passionate about helping ministries grow and achieve their financial goals.

John Silvis - Senior VP / Chief Technology Officer Image

Senior VP / Chief Technology Officer

John Silvis was promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in June 2019. In his role, John is involved in implementing technologies and developing strategies to enhance products and services in support of the Credit Union’s goals and objectives.

John also joined the Senior Management Team in developing organization-wide policies, programs, and other initiatives to better serve members and staff.

He started his career at the Credit Union in 1995 as a Part-Time Marketing Clerk and later as an Operations Clerk. Three years later, he became part of the Information Technology team – serving in various roles as Coordinator, Systems Technician, and later as Network Specialist. Through the years, John has moved up the ranks to IT Manager, Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and now as as Senior VP/CTO.

David South - Senior VP / Human Resources Image

Senior VP / Human Resources

David South began his career with Christian Community Credit Union in 1987 managing CCCU’s Department of Human Resources. He is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and his Master’s Degree in Human Resources.

David is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, the HRD Network, and the CUNA HR Council. He currently serves as President of CU First, a credit union owned workers compensation company.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family and friends, caring for his dogs, and donating baked goods to a nonprofit organization for families impacted by the critical illness of a child. David is inspired by Philippians 2:4 “Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”

Jason Thomas - Senior VP / Chief Financial Officer

Jason Thomas

Senior VP / Chief Financial Officer

Jason Thomas was hired as Christian Community Credit Union’s CFO in December 2019. Thomas has over 21 years’ experience in the financial industry. He started out as an investment consultant and later transitioned into the credit union industry.

Jason has a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He’s a results-oriented leader and a big believer in the credit union industry.
