There’s no doubt that each of our Board, Supervisory Committee, and executive team Union sensed a calling to be part of what the Lord wants to do through the Credit Union. Uniquely gifted in business, ministry, finance, and other industries, the heart of our leadership team is to help churches, ministries, and families thrive financially so they can live and give more abundantly.

Todd Anderson Board of Director

Todd Anderson

Todd Anderson joined the AdelFi Board of Directors in 2017 and currently serves as Treasurer of the Board. He is the principal of 1CapitalPartner LLC, a corporate finance advisory firm. Prior to that he spent 27 years in executive roles with Bank of America, Citigroup, and GE Capital with primary responsibilities in corporate finance serving in business development, marketing, and leadership roles.

He has been a committed follower of Jesus Christ for over 25 years.  As he puts it, “My wife prayed me into the Kingdom.”

Todd serves on the Boards of the Jesus Film Project, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, Mission Generation, Inc., an education ministry bringing biblical values to the public school classroom and Everyman Ministries, Inc., a men’s ministry founded to revolutionize men’s ministry, free men spiritually and ignite spiritual health worldwide.  He attends St Andrews Presbyterian Church.

Mark Bargaehr Image

Mark Bargaehr

Mark Bargaehr is an ordained minister with dual Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Divinity. He grew up in southern California and answered God’s call into ministry leadership. His passion is preparing churches and people to discover and follow God’s mission. His life verse is Romans 12:1-2.

Mark serves as the Church Health Lead for Transformation Ministries helping coach, resource and encourage churches towards greater Kingdom effectiveness, health and spiritual vitality (tmchurches.org).

He and his wife Vikki live in San Clemente, CA and are blessed with their family of four children and three grandchildren. Mark enjoys surfing and worshipping God in His incredible world outdoors.

John Bastain

John Bastain has served AdelFi’s Board since 2022. He is the CFO of Youth for Christ International (YFC) and has been with the organization for 20 years, overseeing the finance and operations of its International office near Denver, Colorado. In his CFO role, John has traveled widely to witness and support YFC ministry’s work across the globe. He has visited more than 50 countries, seeing firsthand how God is moving through YFC and its partner organizations.

Previous to YFC, he worked as a stockbroker for Charles Schwab & Co. for six years. John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Systems / Finance from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.

John and his wife, Kelly have been married for over 25 years and they have four children. They live in Parker, Colorado. The family enjoys when they can get time together in the Colorado outdoors. John is also an avid trail runner and triathlete.

Rick Bee

Rick Bee has served the Credit Union in various roles including the Supervisory Committee, Board, and now as Secretary of the Board and member of the Executive Council. Rick’s background is in education, administration and leadership, having served for more than 40 years at Biola University in University Advancement. 

Rick has also taught at the seminary level, including the popular “Faith and Money” course he led on finance and budgeting, debt reduction, stewardship, and biblical financial principles.

Rick and his wife Julie have two grown daughters, two wonderful sons-in-law, and six perfect grandchildren! They split their time between Yorba Linda, California and Prescott, Arizona. They love international travel, off-roading in their Jeep, and exploring the country in their RV! Rick’s favorite passage is Romans 12:1-2 where we are called to “Present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Graham Crain

Graham Crain has been serving on AdelFi’s Board of Directors since 2018. He is a principal and managing partner at Crain Company, a multi-family and commercial real estate leader in Central Kansas. Graham is primarily responsible for overseeing CrainCo’s multi-family real estate acquisition and development, investor and lender relations, and overall company growth. Prior to CrainCo, he worked in administration in higher education.

Graham earned his Bachelor of Science from Eastern Nazarene College, where he was involved with Athletes in Action Baseball. He also holds a master’s degree from Kansas State University.

Graham is highly involved in his community. He is the past president for the Young Professionals of McPherson and is a graduate of the 2013 Class of Leadership McPherson. He and his family reside in Wichita, KS.

Joshua Guttau

Joshua Guttau

Joshua Guttau is CEO and owner of TS Banking Group, a multi-state bank holding company, which has grown 25-fold in assets over his 20 years with the company. Alongside organic growth, the company has carried out an acquisition strategy of other community banks and has expanded beyond traditional community banking.

Committed to making a difference, the TS Banking Group reinvests 10% of the company’s profit back to the community through charitable giving and the funding of the “TS Institute: Financial Literacy for the Future”. A non-profit effort launched in 2009, as a pilot project in the local K-12 school district, and has expanded throughout the company’s footprint along with assisting at the state and national level on various financial literacy initiatives.

Joshua possesses an MBA in Finance & Strategic Planning from Iowa State University and Professional Masters of Banking from Louisiana State University, and has taught at the Graduate School of Banking Colorado.

Joshua has experience in global and national corporations within the food industry, manufacturing industry, agriculture industry, and banking industry. Along with serving on AdelFi’s Board since 2021, he is currently involved in the agriculture industry as a beef producer, serves as a trustee for the Iowa Banker’s (Health Insurance) Benefit Plan, director for Olsson Associates Engineering, and as a consulting director for Caye International Bank (Belize, C.A.)

Derrick

Derrick Kelsey

Derrick Kelsey is the Managing Director of the Rockies Seed Fund, an early stage venture capital investment fund. He also is the Executive Pastor of Embassy Christian Bible Church in Denver, CO, where he is one of the founding pastors and has spent the past two decades as an IT consultant serving in functional and technical roles for domestic and global software deployments.

Derrick serves on several non profit boards in his local community and provides executive coaching to emerging, C-suite leaders. He is a mentor for the Latino Business Action Network Scaling Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and was honored by Denver Seminary with the Excellence in Mentoring Award for the consistently noteworthy impact he has on mentees in their Training and Mentoring program.

 Derrick is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a vocal supporter of the football team of his alma mater, the University Of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. After completing a Master’s in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, his wife Zaneta and two sons moved to Denver where they have pursued an ongoing mission of seeking the well-being of the city. 

Dorothy Kim Image

Dorothy Kim

Dorothy Kim has extensive professional and executive leadership accomplishments in business and philanthropy. A retired executive of Starbucks Coffee Company, Dorothy was the Executive Vice President of Global Strategy where she led strategic plan development and drove differentiation of the Starbucks experience.

Dorothy also serves on the board of Immanuel Children’s Foundation, an orphanage in Guatemala.  She has served on the boards of CRISTA Ministries, a non-profit organization serving people worldwide, Starbucks Korea,  MicroGREEN Polymers, EzGrill, and African Wildlife Foundation.

Dorothy is married to Keith and has one daughter. She serves as an elder at Seattle Community Church and has a heart for Outreach and Missions Ministry.  On her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Her favorite Scripture passage is Philippians 4:4-7. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Christopher Montes

Christopher Montes is Vice-Chairman of the Board and has been serving on AdelFi’s Board since 2021. He has over a dozen years of experience in the commercial real estate finance industry and has an extensive understanding of multifamily lending. Christopher focuses on Social Impact, Affordable and Workforce Housing Commercial Lending, helping investors looking to make a meaningful double bottom line. He formerly served as Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Future Leaders Alumni (2022 & 2023) and serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Board Committee for USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy.

Christopher holds a Masters in Management and Leadership from the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California (USC), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He graduated with honors from both academic institutions. 

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA, Christopher has resided in Los Angeles since 2014. He is an avid basketball fan and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and family.

Jeff Salladin Image

Jeff Salladin

Jeff Salladin serves as Managing Director at Revere Capital, a Dallas-based hedge fund. He has enjoyed a broad investment career that includes private equity, investment banking, and wealth management. He graduated from Rutgers Law School and Azusa Pacific University where he earned Academic All-American football honors.

Beyond work, Jeff serves as an elder at Citizens Church and on the board of Coram Deo Academy – both in the Dallas area – and enjoys camping with his wife and three kids. His favorite verse is Revelation 21:3a:  “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.”

Dale Torry

Dale Torry currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Previously, he served on the Supervisory Committee for over eight years. Dale has extensive executive experience in the senior living industry.

Dale served as COO at Dominion Senior Living. Other senior living communities he served in include over six years at Peer Services Inc. as Managing Director; CEO of Enviva in the Greater Seattle Area; Vice-President of Senior Living for CRISTA Ministries, WA; and over 10 years at Atherton Baptist Homes in Alhambra, CA where he was the Executive Director.

Dale has a J.D., Law degree from the University of La Verne. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University.

Dave Walker

Dave Walker was born in Pasadena, California, on October 5, 1977. He graduated Cum Laude from Azusa Pacific University in 2000 with a B.S. in Marketing and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2005. After admission to the Colorado Bar, he clerked for the Honorable David M. Furman on the Colorado Court of Appeals before joining Brown Dunning Walker Fein Drusch, P.C. as an associate in 2007. He became a junior partner in 2011 and a named partner in 2015.

Dave’s practice focuses on business and commercial transactions and litigation. He is licensed in Colorado, Arizona, and Arkansas, and works across the firm’s Colorado and Arkansas offices, where he also manages the Little Rock branch. He is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, has served as Vice President of the Metro Denver Christian Legal Society, and provides pro bono support to the Alliance Defending Freedom.

Outside of work, Dave enjoys tennis, traveling with his wife and four children, hiking and skiing in Colorado, and fly-fishing in Arkansas. His family attends Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock and is actively involved in foster care ministry.

He is admitted to practice in Arizona, Arkansas, and Colorado; the U.S. District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for Colorado and Arkansas; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Supervisory Committee

Jeremy Anderson

Jeremy Anderson began serving on AdelFi’s Board of Directors in 2021. He currently works as a financial trading systems subject matter expect for Osterweis Capital Management based in San Francisco California. Jeremy is also the principal of JMA Consulting Services, LLC which services trading software installation and consulting to fortune 500 companies.

Prior to his work with JMA Consulting, he worked at Bank of America in the technology department as a product owner of the trade order management system used by the Wealth Division of the bank. Jeremy has also served as a church treasurer and worked as a youth leader over the years. He has also served as a board member for various sports programs in his home city of Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Jeremy earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Eastern Nazarene College, where he also served as Assistant Baseball Coach for 7 years. He also holds a master’s degree from The College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.

Highly involved in his community, Jeremy recently served as President of the Massachusetts State Junior American Legion Tournament Committee in 2021.  He and his family reside in Weymouth, MA. He is also the proud grandfather of Benjamin James Anderson, recently born on February 19th, 2023.  

Joyce Bennett

Joyce Bennett has served on AdelFi’s Supervisory Committee since 2004, including one year as Chair. A Certified Public Accountant in private practice since 1989, she provides comprehensive tax, accounting, consulting, training, advisory, and management services to her clients.

She is active in her church, serving on the Finance and Joint Use Committees, and participates in a weekly online BSF International group. A devoted fan of The Chosen, she had the unique opportunity to travel to Texas in 2022 to be part of the filming of the Feeding of the 5,000.

Ms. Bennett holds a B.A. in Economics and Business from Westmont College, with additional coursework in accounting, law, and taxation from CSU Fullerton and Golden Gate University. She maintains ongoing continuing education for CPA recertification and is a member of both the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs.

Russell Brown Image

Russell Brown

Russell Brown joined the Supervisory Committee in 2021. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is currently a Principal with Whitley Penn LLP, a public accounting firm in Dallas, Texas.  Previously, Russell was a Partner at Deloitte and retired from the firm in 2019. He enjoys working with his clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

Russell enjoys serving his church and has volunteered for several organizations, including a ministry serving vulnerable children in Africa and an organization developing character and leadership skills in young men.

Russell and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children and their grandchildren.  He enjoys the outdoors and taking advantage of opportunities to photograph the beauty of God’s creation.

Russell’s favorite verse is Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that not one can boast.”

Kevin Perkins

Kevin Perkins serves as Managing Partner at Vanacour Perkins PLLC, a Texas based law firm and Managing Director at Phoenix Advisors, Ltd, an Abu Dhabi based litigation finance company. Kevin has practiced law for over a decade as a trial attorney in complex commercial litigation and is now actively involved in developing an alternative investment model in litigation finance.  

Kevin graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Forestry and graduated law school from Ole Miss School of Law.

He serves as a home group leader at Citizens Church and has been active on numerous non-profit and ministry boards. Kevin is married to “the first girl he met in Texas” and they have two beautiful girls. One of Kevin’s favorite verse is James 1:22: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Lindy Thomas

Lindy Thomas was elected to the Supervisory Committee in 2020. She is the co-founder/co-owner of Mesa Network, located in Orange County, California, where she manages the accounting and finance branch for clients across the United States and abroad.

Lindy has over 20 years of experience in Accounting & Finance, focusing primarily on the non-profit sector. She holds a BA in Social Sciences from Bethany University in Scotts Valley, CA.

Blair Korschun - Chief Executive Officer

Blair Korschun

Chief Executive Officer

Blair Korschun joined Christian Community Credit Union as Chief Executive Officer in March 2020. As CEO of the newly merged Credit Union, Blair brings a broad career in executive financial services leadership, including serving as CEO of the auto-lending Credit Union Service Organization CU Direct Connect.

He also was the VP of Default Strategy and Direct Auto for JP Morgan Chase and as Group Manager for Capital One Financial over Young Adult Card Strategy. He holds a BS from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Blair is actively involved at his local church, serving as an usher. He’s been married for over 32 years with three children, including his new son-in-law. He enjoys traveling and great food with his family and loves Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Knowing that our God cares personally for each of us and wants good for us is awesome!

Marji Hughes - Executive Vice-President / Chief Operating Officer Image

Marji Hughes

Executive VP, Chief Enterprise Strategy & Integration Officer

Marji Hughes now serves as Executive VP, Chief Enterprise Strategy & Integration Officer. She began her career at Christian Community Credit Union (formerly American Baptist Credit Union) in 1992 as the Branch Manager. In 1999, she was promoted to Vice President of Information Technology, then to Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and in May 2020 to Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.

In 2008, she was named Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. In 2019, while the Credit Union was in the midst of looking for a CEO, Marji stepped in to serve as the Interim CEO. Her long tenure and vast experience in the financial services industry is a tremendous asset to the Credit Union.

Marji has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and an MBA from Azusa Pacific University.

Outside of work, Marji enjoys spending time with her family and friends, caring for her dogs, and serving as a volunteer for her local church. Marji is inspired by Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Susan Rushing

Executive VP, Chief Risk Officer

Susan Rushing joined AdelFi in 2001 as Vice President of Banking and Payment Systems and has contributed to significant operational improvements throughout the credit union. As Executive VP, Chief Risk Officer, her areas of oversight include Compliance and Internal Controls, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Field of Membership, Enterprise Risk Management, and Credit Administration and Underwriting. A CUNA Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert, Susan developed AdelFi’s enhanced enterprise risk management framework.

Earlier in her career, she held positions at First American Bank, First Arroyo Bank, and Lloyds Bank California. Susan served previously as a member of the board of directors of Stepping Stones for Women, a ministry organized to transform the lives of single mothers and their children. She is actively involved in Every One Free, a faith based organization established to fight human trafficking. Ms. Rushing holds a master’s in business administration from the University of La Verne and bachelor’s degree in small business management from Humboldt State University. She is also a certified Gallup Faith Strengths Coach.

Aaron Caid - Senior VP / Chief Marketing Officer Image

Aaron Caid

Senior VP, Chief Marketing Officer

Aaron Caid joined Christian Community Credit Union as Chief Marketing Officer in November 2020. Having worked at various financial services companies, Aaron wanted to pursue a leadership role in a mission-driven organization.

Learning about the CMO opportunity at the Credit Union, he felt called to the role, seeing a great alignment between his faith and his financial services marketing experience.

Aaron brings to the Credit Union over 20 years of experience in leading digital transformation, building innovative marketing capabilities, raising brand loyalty, and improving customer retention.

He has served at a senior management level for organizations including Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, H&R Block, Sears Holdings Corp, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Aaron holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German from the University of Texas at Austin.

Nicki Harms

Senior VP, Chief Accounting Officer

Currently serving as Senior VP, Chief Accounting Officer, Nicolette (Nicki) Harms joined AdelFi in August 2022, as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for providing overall financial direction to the Credit Union.

Prior to joining the team at AdelFi, Nicki was the SVP/CFO of America’s Christian Credit Union in Glendora, CA. Her career there, which began in 1994, included roles in Finance and Accounting, with the last 14 years as the Chief Financial Officer. She was responsible for financial strategy and reporting, investment and liquidity management, asset liability management, budgeting and forecasting, regulatory reporting and exams, as well as providing oversight to the electronic payments team.

Nicki has a B.S. in Accounting from Azusa Pacific University and is a CPA. She and her husband have two grown daughters.  Nicki has been an active member of Rose Drive Friends Church for over 40 years, serving in various volunteer leadership roles.  She also serves as the Treasurer for the International Friendship Council of North Orange County, a non-profit organization that seeks to welcome international students studying in the US and to connect them with American friends.

Charles D. Kelly, Jr.

Senior VP, Enterprise Solutions Architect Officer

Previously serving as AdelFi’s Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Charles Kelly is now Senior VP, Enterprise Solutions Architect Officer. Serving as a member of the credit union’s executive leadership team, he oversees all aspects of technology systems, software, vendors, and platforms.

With over 25 years of executive leadership experience in technology and operations, Charles leverages his business acumen and technology expertise to enhance AdelFi’s capabilities. His primary focus is on preparing the Credit Union for digital transformation and member growth through efficient and effective use of advanced technology.

Before joining AdelFi, Charles held the position of Senior Vice President, Technology Executive at Bank of America, where he oversaw end-to-end business transformation and technology delivery, with a particular emphasis on customer interactions and software innovation in consumer banking.

Charles’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from DeVry University, an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, and he completed the Technology Executive Leadership program at the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech University.

He and his wife have enjoyed serving in their church as children’s Sunday School teachers for over 25 years and coaching children with special needs in a variety of sports for over 30 years.

Mike Poirier - Senior VP / Ministry Lending Image

Mike Poirier

Senior VP, Chief Lending Officer

Serving as Senior VP, Chief Lending Officer, Mike Poirier joined Christian Community Credit Union as Senior Vice President of Ministry Lending in January 2021. Poirier has an extensive background in commercial lending including nearly seven years at Patelco Credit Union, serving as VP of Consumer and Commercial Loans.

While at Patelco, Poirier revamped the Commercial Loan Department and built a scalable, digital consumer loan model. He also worked over six years at Evangelical Christian Credit Union’s Ministry Sales and Special Assets divisions, where he helped ministries resolve their financial problems during the Great Recession. He’s passionate about helping ministries grow and achieve their financial goals.

Carey Price

Senior VP, Chief Operations Officer

Carey Price joined AdelFi in September 2023 as Senior Vice President, Chief Banking Officer. Now serving as Senior VP, Chief Operations Officer, she is responsible for the organization’s member experience, consumer banking operations, overall consumer product strategy, and partnerships.

In addition to Carey’s most recent experience leading digital strategy and delivery, she has a broad range of banking leadership experience, including retail banking, call center, sales/service, and the overall direction of member experience teams. Price earned her MBA in strategic management from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University.

Carey has more than 25 years of credit union and banking experience. Prior to joining AdelFi, she was the Senior Vice President, Chief Retail Officer/Digital Strategy and Delivery at BCU. Carey joined Baxter Credit Union in 2006 from KEMBA Financial Credit Union.

John Silvis - Senior VP / Chief Technology Officer Image

John Silvis

Senior VP, Information Technology and Security Officer

John Silvis serves as Senior VP, Information Technology and Security Officer. In this role, he leads the implementation of technologies and strategies that enhance products and services in support of the Credit Union’s mission—while ensuring our data, systems, and member accounts remain secure and operating reliably 24/7. John previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Christian Community Credit Union.

John also joined the Senior Management Team in developing organization-wide policies, programs, and other initiatives to better serve members and staff.

He started his career at the Credit Union in 1995 as a Part-Time Marketing Clerk and later as an Operations Clerk. Three years later, he became part of the Information Technology team – serving in various roles as Coordinator, Systems Technician, and later as Network Specialist. Through the years, John has moved up the ranks to IT Manager, Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and now as as Senior VP/CTO.

Jason Thomas - Senior VP / Chief Financial Officer

Senior VP, Chief Financial Officer

Jason Thomas is Senior VP, Chief Financial Officer of the merged credit union. Originally hired as Christian Community Credit Union’s CFO in December 2019, Jason has over 21 years’ experience in the financial industry. He started out as an investment consultant and later transitioned into the credit union industry.

Jason has a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He’s a results-oriented leader and a big believer in the credit union industry.

Clifton Chang

VP, Human Resources

Clifton Chang is Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for the company’s people and talent management strategy. His career in HR spans multiple sectors including healthcare, pharmaceutical, and non-profit. Prior to joining AdelFi, Clifton led HR teams at Johnson & Johnson and then at Allergan before transitioning into church ministry.   

Clifton holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business.
