Our History
Celebrating over 68 years of service
“Lord, all that we have accomplished You have done for us.” Isaiah 26:12b (NIV)
Christian Community Credit Union was founded in 1957 as American Baptist Ministers Credit Union in Southern California. What began as a small credit union serving pastors has grown nationwide—and even internationally—to support churches, ministries, and their members, along with Christian schools, colleges, seminaries, retirement homes, and other faith-based organizations.
Today, Christian Community Credit Union stands as one of the largest credit unions serving the Christian community. From church loans to savings accounts, we steward your resources with purpose—helping fund ministry growth while supporting the financial well-being of Christian individuals, families, and organizations.
Now, we enter an exciting new chapter as we unite with AdelFi. Together, our credit unions bring over 125 years of combined service to believers, ministries, and Christian businesses—championing stronger finances and greater Kingdom impact. This partnership brings together two like-hearted, Christ-centered credit unions committed to serving with integrity, purpose, and faith.
As we move forward, we remain grateful for God’s faithfulness and look ahead with anticipation—continuing our mission and deepening our impact for generations to come.

Our Statement of Faith
Bible and the Trinity
The Bible is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters of faith and practice. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each possessing all the attributes of Deity.
Sin and Salvation
God created humans, but they disobeyed God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, they need God’s saving grace. Salvation comes only through God’s grace and must be received personally by repentance and faith. This accomplishes salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Christ as Savior and Lord.
Jesus Christ and Eternal Life
Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on Earth and voluntarily paid for humans’ sin by dying on the cross as their substitute. Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is the only mediator between humans and God. He will return to earth, will raise the dead, and judge all people.
Holy Spirit and the Church
The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ, equipping believers for personal growth and service to the Body of Christ, the church. The church is called to proclaim God’s reconciling grace, to glorify God, and serve those in need.
