To our valued members:
On January 10, 2014, Target has reported that at least 70 to 110 million customers were affected by their security breach (double than what was originally reported). As part of Targetís ongoing forensic investigation, it has been determined that certain guest information -- separate from the payment card data previously disclosed -- was taken during the data breach. Stolen information included names, mailing addresses, phone numbers or email addresses.
If you used your Christian Community Credit Union Visa Check Card, Credit Card, or Target REDcard® linked to your Christian Community Credit Union account at a Target store November 27 through December 15, your card may have been compromised.
At Christian Community Credit Union, protecting our members' personal financial information is our top priority. We are monitoring the impact of this breach on our members and are committed to keeping you informed as additional information becomes available.
At this time, we strongly recommend safeguarding your account(s) by doing the following:
1. Closely monitor your account activity through Online Banking/Mobile Banking to quickly identify any unauthorized charges. If you suspect fraud, call us at 800.449.7728.
2. Setup alerts through Online Banking. Click My Credit Card tab found on the menu bar, then click on Visa Transaction Alerts. If you aren't setup with Online Banking, please click here to go to AccessPoint.
3. Do not provide personal or account information from unsolicited requests by email or by phone that Christian Community Credit Union should already know. The Credit Union will never send text messages, instant messages, or email members requesting such information as Personal Identification Number (PIN), account number, or Social Security Number.
4. Visit Target's corporate website for additional information.
