49 Financial: Revolutionizing Financial Planning
49 Financial, our financial planning partner, is a full service investment firm focused on helping people have peace of mind over their finances. Their process is based on a holistic approach where they take the time to get to know you and what you want to accomplish, so they can design an investment plan tailored for your unique financial goals.

Featured in an article from Christianity Today called “Faith-Fueled Finance,” 49 Financial is a financial planning firm founded on Biblical values. They are firmly committed to providing the highest quality service and connecting our members to the best available resources in the market today. They take their name from Ecclesiastes 4:9 (“Two are better than one, for they receive a greater return for their labor”) and have demonstrated that their Biblically-informed, team-based model results in superior solutions for clients.

Q&A with Travis Penfield, 49 Financial Founder & CEO
We felt so excited but mostly very grateful and humbled. We believe Christian Community Credit Union is a flagship institution and so we understood how important an opportunity this was for us. At the same time, we believe finance should lead to human dignity and we want to bring that viewpoint to the broader Christian community. Our dream has always been to support the church in any way we can and to have been selected by CCCU for this role is fantastic. We’re so thankful.
First, we are 100% independent; we are our own company. This means that we can work with literally dozens, if not hundreds, of investment firms and insurance companies and pursue the best strategies for the client. Second, we’re in this for life! As a matter of company policy, we meet with our clients at least four times a year. We walk with our clients through all the ups and downs – marriages and births and businesses and job changes and everything else – and we adjust the financial plan along the way. This creates a unique form of community with our clients that we treasure.
I don’t know of another partnership quite like this in America. Through this partnership, we can serve Christians and ministries with unparalleled depth and flexibility. We can meet with a pastor or a ministry and say, “49 Financial and Christian Community Credit Union can help your organization with virtually every financial need you have.” Need a building loan? We have it. Need a retirement program? We have it. Need an endowment? We can build it. We can meet with any Christian and say the same thing. Do you need a home loan? We have it. Do you need a financial plan? We will build one. Do you need to consolidate old retirement plans or insurance policies? We can do that too. We can meet with a Christian business owner in the same way. Do you need a Christian banking partner? We have that. Do you need an executive benefits program? We build those. Are you curious about values-based investing? We are deep in that world. At the end of the day, do you just need to dream? Come and let us dream together! I’m looking forward to all those things.
