Christian Community Credit Union celebrated the grand re-opening of the Covina Branch with a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 10, 2013. The new branch had a complete site redesign which includes an extensive exterior upgrade with a new landscape design, and a complete interior remodel.
Forty years ago, the Credit Union moved from California Baptist Seminary to the Covina location which was then its new corporate headquarters. "We are at another historical moment in our Credit Union where we are dedicating this beautifully-remodeled branch. The Covina Branch was designed with our members and staff in mind and with state-of-the-art technology that will make services convenient to our members,” said John Walling, President/CEO of Christian Community Credit Union.
Attendees at the grand re-opening included the Credit Union’s board members, employees, members, as well as local city officials. "Christian Community Credit Union has been an icon in the city and we are privileged to have the Credit Union in Covina,” said Walter Allen III, Covina City Mayor.
"It’s good to see the Credit Union still thriving after seeing some challenging times in the economy,” said Brian Mejia, Field Deputy for Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, Fifth District.
Tom Matlock of Matlock Associates, Inc. served as the architect and general contractor for the project. Matlock, a long-time member of the Credit Union, has worked on four major building renovations in over 30 years for the Credit Union’s Covina and San Dimas locations.
With assets at nearly $575 million, Christian Community Credit Union serves over 29,500 members nationwide and has served as a financial partner of Christian churches, ministries, and their members for over 56 years. For more information, call 800.347.CCCU (2228) or visit myCCCU.com
