Christian Community Credit Union hosted Tiger Cub Scout Pack 423 in San Dimas, CA as part of the scout’s Making Change and Banking "Go See It” program. Along with parents and den leaders, the young scouts had the opportunity to see the inner workings of the Credit Union and learned about the benefits of saving money.
Charlotte Conway, Vice President of Operations, showed them the vault and explained how the Credit Union sends checks to the Federal Reserve. They also observed the tellers using the Teller Cash Machine and ATM. In addition, the Cub Scouts heard a talk about banking and the importance of saving money. They learned how long it takes to save for an MP3 player, X-Box or even a car.
”I had fun interacting with the Cub Scouts. It was encouraging to see their enthusiasm in learning more about banking and saving money,” said Conway.
With assets over $550 million, Christian Community Credit Union serves over 29,000 members nationwide and has served as a financial partner of Christian churches, ministries, and their members for over 55 years. For more information, call 800.347.CCCU (2228) or visit myCCCU.com.
