The Ford minivan, purchased through Christian Community Credit Union’s “Cards that Give to Missions & Ministries” program was designated to the Mann family, here on furlough from Laos.

(SAN DIMAS, CA) Christian Community Credit Union’s credit card program keeps on giving. Since 2004, Christian Community Credit Union has partnered with Transformation Ministries to provide Christian Workers-in-Residence with a Ford minivan to use while on home assignment. The minivan was purchased through “The Cards that Give to Missions & Ministries” program, where a percentage of the Credit Union’s interchange income (the amount that merchants pay to card issuers) goes to missions and ministry projects worldwide.

“Christian Community Credit Union saw a need where we could help those who are on the frontline in the Lord’s work,” says John T. Walling, President/CEO of Christian Community Credit Union. “Thanks to the support of our members using their credit and debit cards, the Credit Union was able to provide a minivan for Christian workers. Our members can be proud that their credit union is dedicated to supporting missions and ministry-related projects in the Christian community.”

Transformation Ministries, a ministry who strengthens churches to change the world for Christ, has designated the Mann family who are Christian workers in Laos, to use the minivan in 2006-2007. “It’s been a blessing for us to use the Ford minivan from Christian Community Credit Union. Our biggest challenge was transportation – not being able to get around to connect with our ministry partners and taking the children to school. With the help of the Credit Union, it’s made getting around a whole lot easier,” says Lori Mann.

Since 1994, the Credit Union has donated over $2 million which has been distributed to international ministries, local and regional church projects, disaster relief, student scholarships and other faith-based projects. Donation recipients are primarily ministries and organizations who are members of Christian Community Credit Union. The Credit Union has over 28,000 members worldwide comprised of individuals and ministry groups and has been serving the financial needs of the Christian community for almost 50 years.
