“Your Money at Work Building God’s Kingdom”
Introducing our new tagline |
| Christian Community Credit Union is pleased to introduce a new way of expressing exactly what we do. Our new tagline, “Your Money at Work Building God’s Kingdom,” better expresses to our members and potential members what we do and why we do it—with great pride and satisfaction.
As you know, Christian Community Credit Union has been serving ministries, churches and their members for over 50 years. And through the years, the money that you and other members put in your accounts helps provide affordable financing to ministries, churches and their members.
The Credit Union has also donated more than $2 million to ministries through our “Cards that Give to Missions & Ministries” credit card program. Thanks to you, we continue to uphold our mission of partnering with members and ministries to help them become better stewards and achieve their financial goals. You make it happen.
Our goal was never simply to see buildings go up, membership grow or donations increase. Our efforts have always been based on our commitment to support ministries who spread the gospel across the country and around the world. “Your Money at Work Building God’s Kingdom” is a message that rings loud, clear and true, more than ever. Thank you for allowing us to be able to say it and share it.

Financial Fitness Checklist for the New Year
Set financial goals - Think about what you really want to do with your money. Determine how much each of those financial goals will cost and divide that by the number of months you have to achieve them. That's the amount you'll need to set aside each month.
Develop a budget - Track monthly expenses and subtract the total from your income. If more is going out than coming in, reduce your spending or add to your income.
Establish a savings plan - Having a few months of essential living expenses in a liquid savings account provides stability and peace of mind. Make deposits into savings automatically by redirecting your direct deposits.
Review your retirement plan - Make the most of your income by contributing to a tax-deferred retirement plan. Don't miss out on compound interest, and if your employer matches your contributions, that’s free money for you!
Use credit wisely - Use credit to your advantage by only charging when you can afford to repay the balance in full. Use loans for goal achievement, such as starting a business, buying a home, or paying for an education.
Check your credit report - Access your credit reports from each of the three major credit bureaus, then review them for accuracy and dispute any incorrect items. Get a free copy of your credit report from annualcreditreport.com or call 877.322.8228.

Is it Time to Evaluate Your Mortgage?
Most of us take out a mortgage, and assume we're all set for years to come. But it is actually a good idea to evaluate your mortgage from time to time. With changes in your personal circumstances, fluctuations in interest rates, and shifts in the housing market, a review may be in order right now.
You might want to refinance if:
•You have an adjustable rate mortgage, and your rate has increased or will increase soon
•You want to save on finance charges by shortening your mortgage term
•You'd like to lower your monthly payment bylengthening your mortgage term
A “cash-out refinancing” may also be an option. This allows you to roll some equity into a new mortgage, providing cash for college tuition, home improvements or other expenses. While a home equity loan is also a great choice, refinancing may provide a lower rate and lower monthly payments.
If you are not sure how to weigh your choices, feel free to call us at 800.347.CCCU ext. 8003. Our mortgage experts will be happy to help you take a closer look at the costs and benefits of refinancing.
*APR = Annual Percentage Rate effective 12/10/07 rates, terms and conditions subject to change. Rate and APR based on loans up to $650,000 and approved credit. For refinance loans with cash out, the maximum loan-to-value ratio is 75%. 3-year reprice/call option on above rates and are subject to increase or decrease. Closing cost and 1.25 points are associated with this loan rate. One time membership fee of $5 will be added to your loan for new loan only members.
