Fall 2009
Financial Update
Your Money is Safe, Sound and Invested in a God-Honoring Way
The Credit Union continues to outperform most of the credit union and banking industry. Our year-to-date growth in 2009 has been over $58 million or 13%. The Capital-to-Asset Ratio, as of August 31, 2009, is a healthy 8.88%. The Credit Union is considered "Well-Capitalized" and has been paying well above average dividends all year which helps members get through the recession.
We are constantly monitoring the economy, and adjusting our plans and programs accordingly to protect our members' deposits and provide for their borrowing needs. We have increased our liquidity significantly this year which provides additional protection for our members. It also paves the way for the membership’s growing borrowing needs as the economy recovers.

Christian Community Credit Union donated $50,000 to Growing Healthy Churches (GHC), a ministry focused on networking, resourcing and encouraging churches in the areas of growth, health, transformation and church planting. The contribution will go toward GHC’s initiative to establish 150 new churches in the United States and 100 new churches in Latin America by 2012. For the next three years, the Credit Union committed to give $50,000 each year for a total donation of $150,000.
"We are excited to partner with GHC in their efforts to establish new churches and help build God’s Kingdom,” said John T. Walling, Christian Community Credit Union President/CEO. “This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate the “people helping people” philosophy of the credit union movement,” Walling adds. The donation is based on members’ participation in the Credit Union’s “Cards that Give to Missions” program.
"We are deeply grateful to Christian Community Credit Union for their support of all that God is doing in planting new congregations in the US and Latin America” stated Dr. Paul D. Borden, GHC Executive Minister. “We look forward to strengthening our partnership and providing financial solutions to pastors and their churches. |
